America's sweetheat, famous romantic comedy star and actress of superhit film You've Got Mail and Producer Meg Ryan, 49, is emeging with a new touch in directing a comedy/drama, "Into the Beautiful," reports Variety.

The project, based on a script by Anne Meredith ("Bastard Out of Carolina"), is said to be a contemporary "Big Chill" about life-long friends reconnecting. The project was originally titled "Little Black Train." Wendy Finerman ("Forrest Gump," "The Devil Wears Prada") and Nathalie Marciano have signed on to produce "Into the Beautiful." "I'm often drawn to pictures that make you laugh and cry," Finerman told Variety. "I think this is the perfect project for Meg to bring to life. She's poignant and funny and heartfelt."

Ryan and Mellencamp
It was reported in January that Ryan was dating  musician John Mellencamp around the time for about seven weeks and that he filed for divorce from his third wife.Ryan, the 49-year-old star of films such as "When Harry Met Sally," and Mellencamp, known for hits such as "Hurts So Good," have not commented on the report by People magazine, which said the two spent time together on Martha's Vineyard in New England and in New York City in recent days. Mellencamp and his wife, a 41-year-old former model, wed in 1992 and have two sons. They said in a statement last week that they would continue to raise their children in Indiana but would "call it a day as a couple." Mellencamp also has three other daughters from two previous marriages.
Ryan was married to actor Dennis Quaid between 1991 and 2001. They have an 18-year-old son named Henry and Ryan also has a 6-year-old daughter, Daisy True, whom she adopted from China.

In recent years, Ryan has starred in movies like "The Women" and "Serious Moonlight." She also stars in the film "Lives of the Saints," which stars John Lithgow and 50 Cent and is due for release later this year. Shooting for "Into the Beautiful" is scheduled to begin in September in New York.

This, all hope, is going to be the introduction of good  movies that Hollywood will see.
